- I remember [her] telling me a few years ago that she always looked forward to us coming carol singing down bishops road just before Christmas but that we always managed to get to your house just as she was getting in the bath!
We had hoped to come carol singing this last Christmas as I remembered how much [she] enjoyed it but we almost all had COVID just before Christmas so weren’t able to - Katherine Worcester

- She will be enormously missed by so many people in Trumpington. She was a brilliant neighbour who was always so generous, joyful, friendly, and helpful to everyone. Kathy used to love to listen to her talking in Italian in the garden to Sam and Luca and tried to guess (without success) what she was saying from their replies in English. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Mariella if she could help a neighbour
- She was such a beautiful person, and having you all live across the road was one of the best parts about living in Bishop's Rd. Mariella was always so welcoming, happy, and fun.
